Pigeon On The Docks
This pigeon was so busy cleaning up the crumbs after some fishermen, that he wasn’t too bothered by me sticking a lens in his face. Fremantle Docks, Western Australia
I saw this group of young cows standing by the fence, so I pulled over to say hello. At first, they were shy and ran away. But after several minutes they came a bit closer, ever so cautiously, to check me out.
White Faced Heron
Australian Ringneck, locally known as a 'twenty-eight' posing proudly on the highest branch around, just checking out the scene.
On The Fence
Saw this little guy on a late afternoon walk in the hills behind Harvey, Western Australia.
Two On The Wire
Bird In The Grass
This little bird was not too fussed about me getting down to ground level for this shot, but it's mother was not so impressed.
I saw this fly (type unknown) whilst bush walking near Busselton, Western Australia.
I saw this dragonfly whilst bush walking near Busselton, Western Australia. I only just got the shot before my nature loving 7 y/o reached out and touched it!
An old friend returned to our garden today. We are not sure if our Western Bobtail is male or female, but now the warmer spring weather is here, he /she will be out looking for it's mate (they form monogamous pairs and can live for 20-50 years). Hopefully this one will be around for many years to come and is certainly welcome to eat as many snails it likes.
