Sunrise / Sunset
Days Golden End
16th November 2013 Taken east of Brookton, Western Australia. For a brief moment between thunderstorm cells, the sun came out and turned the surrounding farming land a rich golden colour.
Along The Ridge
When I was a kid, my family used to travel to Perth from the country town that I grew up in. We would often stay at a motel not far from this jetty in Como. I remember walking down the street and crossing over the freeway on the ‘curly bridge’ so that we could walk out to the end. It has changed a bit over the years. In the years since, I have driven past it a thousand times or more. Yesterday, I stopped to watch the sunset over the river and capture a few images. This one is two images stitched together in PS and processed in Lightroom. Canon 6D 1/6 sec @ f/4.0 ISO800
Setting sun taken from North Dandalup Dam, Western Australia.
Whilst photographing the full moon rising, I turned around to see what the western sky looked like. I'm glad I did because the colors were amazing. This is the view looking west along Geographe Bay towards Dunsborough on Boxing Day 2015.
Intense sunset colors just west of Brookton, Western Australia on 9th Jan 2016. After a stormy day, I was treated to another spectacular WA sunset.
South Quairading Sunset
‘Embrace’ - I love old trees. They remind me that my tiime on this planet is only temporary and that every new day is a gift. This one has seen countless sunrises, yet every day it reaches for the sky as if to welcome the new day.
